During this hump-day (BYOB encouraged) workshop, you’ll be enchanted by the ancient art of Shibori- so rally your friends & prepare yourself for an evening of fun with fellow creatives. Shibori is a Japanese indigo technique that dates back to the 8th century. There are many different ways you can create patterns by folding, binding, wrapping, stitching, and clamping fabrics that will resist the indigo dye creating a beautiful design. We use indigo thats a synthetic organic and comes pre-reduced 60% for ease of use. In this workshop, you’ll learn all of the above techniques to hand-dye 2 tea towels. All materials will be provided, but please dont forget to wear comfortable clothing you don’t mind playing in and a pair of rubber slippers.
